Meet Bernie! He came to the shelter as a lost pup on September 2, very underweight and with severely matted fur. After receiving a lot of care, he has finally reached a healthy weight and enjoyed a well-deserved bath. Now looking and feeling like a new dog, Bernie is ready to find his forever home. Volunteers describe him as super sweet, playful, and attentive. He already knows several commands, including sit and shake, showcasing his smart nature. Bernie is around 2 years old and weighs 40 lbs. He is up to date on vaccinations and tested negative for heartworms. Bernie will be neutered and microchipped before he goes home with you. Please come meet him in kennel 106, using ID #22280. Keep in mind that since Bernie was found as a lost animal, we do not have information on how he would behave with children or other pets, or if he is house trained.
