About Big Bopper
Big Bopper, also known as Devo, is a 3-year-old American Bully mix currently located in Texas. Weighing in at 52 pounds, this neutered male is a bundle of joy who loves to play and engage with his people. Rescued from a shelter, he’s fostered in Austin and is ready for an approved out-of-state adoption, with transport arranged once he finds the right match. Bopper enjoys his toys immensely; whether it’s balls, ropes, or stuffies, he’s all in. You might find yourself chasing him as he playfully pretends to be evasive, but he secretly loves the game. He thrives on interaction, be it playtime, lounging around, or just being involved in the daily routine. His friendly nature extends to his canine companions, as he currently shares his space with both male and female dogs. While he’s learning personal space and boundaries, he’s quite non-reactive. Ideally, a home with a balanced dog would help him refine these social skills further. Bopper is crate-trained but might initially vocalize his opinion. He’s not had exposure to cats or children, but due to his playful and energetic personality, a home with kids aged 12 and older, who understand dog interactions, would be best. Being a brachycephalic breed, he's prone to snorting and heavy breathing, especially in warmer weather. Therefore, keeping him cool and exercising him mindfully is important. This charming goofball is ready to fill your home with laughter and love. If you're seeking a companion with a vibrant personality, Bopper could be the perfect addition to your life.
