About Pumba
Pumba is a five-year-old tri-colored micro bully—small, compact, and brimming with charm. He arrived at the shelter under tough circumstances: skin issues, sore toes, and kennel cough. More pressing, Pumba’s heart isn’t in great shape; he’s living with advanced heart disease and congestive heart failure. Despite that, his spirit is strong. Since being rescued, he’s gotten all the love, belly rubs, and vet care needed, including being neutered and starting on crucial heart medications. He’s ready for a mellow, loving hospice or "fospice" home to soak up affection for as long as he’s got. Pumba thrives as the center of attention, prefers low activity levels, and adores naps and snuggles. While he can be selective with other dogs, he does well with female dogs and can coexist with the right introduction. No cats. Pumba’s looking for a home where someone understands the needs of a bully breed and can provide a quiet, fenced yard. Experience with his breed and willingness for home checks are important. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who just wants simple comforts and steady company, he’s waiting in Sacramento, CA for someone to help make his remaining years count. Ready to fall in love?
