About DandyLion
DandyLion is a delightful mixed-breed dog, estimated to be 1-2 years old. She embodies joy and energy, always ready for some playtime or a brisk walk. With a love for toys—especially those she can unstuff—DandyLion seeks an active family that can provide her with plenty of daily exercise and mental challenges. Although she weighs around 13 pounds, she's on a little weight-loss journey to improve her health. This sweet girl came to us as a stray and had a broken leg, which has now healed thanks to the wonderful care of the UC Davis Fracture Program. DandyLion's unique name was inspired by her wild, afro-like hair when she arrived at the shelter, and her fun personality is just as distinctive. She has learned basic commands like "sit" and "down" but will benefit from more training to refine her skills. While DandyLion is house- and crate-trained and handles short alone periods well, she thrives in environments with a yard due to her energetic nature. DandyLion enjoys the company of other dogs but could be a bit much for some, so she’d do best with playmates who can keep up with her enthusiasm. She has met a cat and might adapt well to a dog-savvy one after a proper introduction. This affectionate girl loves to cuddle and is always up for a movie night on the couch. Keep in mind that her adorable coat requires regular professional grooming to prevent matting. If you think DandyLion would be the perfect addition to your family, act quickly and submit your application today!
