About Alvin

Alvin and Monica are on a journey that deserves a loving home. Both spent much of their lives confined in a kennel at a hoarding house, missing the comforts that every dog should experience. While they’re heartworm positive, the bond between them is unbreakable. Since arriving at our rescue, they've taken small but significant steps toward a brighter future. They enjoy their walks and are slowly learning about kindness from people. Alvin and Monica still find new sounds and places intimidating and thrive on routine. They’re looking for a patient adopter who understands that their progress can unfold in tiny increments. In a calm environment, they’ll start to feel secure enough to enjoy relaxed naps and confident strolls. Their tale has already taken a turn for the better, but it’s time for them to write a new chapter in a real home. With your support, Alvin and Monica can discover what true companionship feels like. Questions about Alvin

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Alvin, being a mixed breed of Corgi and Rat Terrier, is best suited for a calm home that offers consistency and routine. He thrives in environments where he can gradually adjust to new experiences without feeling overwhelmed.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Alvin enjoys short walks, so a smaller yard or a nearby park for strolls will work well for him. It's more about quality time together than large spaces.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

While Alvin can be friendly, his journey has made him a bit shy around new situations. Older, gentle children who understand his needs would be ideal.
