About May

Meet May! This little 9-year-old Imperial Shih Tzu may weigh just 7 pounds, but don’t let her small stature fool you; she’s bursting with personality and love! Rescued as a stray, May arrived at Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue in rough shape. After undergoing surgery for a large bladder stone and having her painful teeth removed, she has made a remarkable recovery and is loving life once again. May is playful, spunky, and affectionate, eager to show her sweet side to everyone she meets. She enjoys frolicking with other dogs her size and relishes the time she spends with her favorite humans. This little lady is currently available for foster-to-adopt while she puts on some much-needed weight, but she’s ready to fill a home with joy and warmth. After everything she's been through, May deserves a loving family, soft beds, and plenty of belly rubs. Ready to discover how special May is? Click apply to start the adoption process.
