PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org **Meet Huckleberry** Huckleberry is a super goofy, 7-month-old boy with a heart full of sunshine and a personality that can’t help but make you smile. At 30 pounds and still growing, this happy pup is expected to mature into a medium-sized dog—big enough to keep up with adventures, but still the perfect size for snuggles on the couch. From the moment you meet him, Huckleberry’s joyful energy is impossible to miss. He greets the world with a silly grin, a wagging tail, and pure enthusiasm for life. Water is one of his greatest loves—whether it’s a kiddie pool, a sprinkler, or just a splashy bath, he lights up at the chance to get wet and play. People are his other favorite thing. He adores human company and has a natural gift for making friends. He’s wonderful with kids, gentle and playful around other dogs, and even gets along great with horses. If you’re kind and ready for a loyal companion, Huckleberry is already halfway in love with you. His story has a bittersweet beginning. Huckleberry came from a litter of eight puppies, but a long, scorching Texas summer and the harsh reality of parasites took most of his brothers and sisters. He’s one of the lucky ones who made it through, and that resilience shows in the big, goofy heart he carries every day. He doesn’t dwell on the hard times—he just keeps choosing joy, play, and connection. If you’re looking for a water-loving, people-adoring, endlessly happy pup who will fill your home with laughter and loyalty, Huckleberry just might be the perfect match.
