About Sherman

Meet Sherman, a delightful 5-year-old brown Terrier Dachshund mix. Despite a challenging past where he faced cruelty in Texas—being found with his muzzle trapped and severely underweight—Sherman has shown remarkable resilience. He now weighs a healthier 12 pounds and has developed into a sweet, happy companion who loves nothing more than curling up on a lap. Sherman is a sociable fellow who enjoys being close to his humans, often choosing to walk right behind them. He dreams of a home where he can snuggle under blankets and even share a bed. Good news for potential adopters: he is potty trained, dog friendly, and gets along well with the cats in his foster home. He is crate trained and curious about human food, occasionally attempting to swipe a taste when he can. With a coat of long, healing fur and still in need of gaining a bit more weight, Sherman is ready to find his forever family who can offer him love, safety, and those soft blankets he adores.
