About Boomer
Meet Boomer! Leash in hand, this lively Doodle with his tousled coat is always ready for an adventure. At just 8 months old, Boomer loves leash walks, car rides, and long hikes. His playful spirit shines through when he's outdoors. While he's a sweet and shy guy at heart, Boomer takes a little time to warm up to new people and situations. Once he feels comfortable, he’s eager to showcase his tricks like "touch," "leave it," and "focus." Watching him confidently carry a squeaky toy around is sure to bring a smile. Boomer is looking for patient adopters who can allow him to settle in at his own pace. Since he has limited experience being alone, we’ll provide guidance for those initial weeks together. He might thrive in a home with respectful children who understand boundaries. His past interactions with cats remain a mystery. Excited to meet this handsome boy? Fill out an adoption interest form at upaws.org! The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter is open daily from noon to 4 p.m. (closed Mondays). Walk-ins are welcome without an appointment, but please bring your resident dogs and the whole family for any meet-and-greets. This could be the start of something paw-some.
