Nala is a striking 11-month-old Husky/Shepherd mix with beautiful blue eyes that will draw you in. What truly captures hearts, though, is her loving nature. This large girl thrives on human companionship, relishing every moment of attention after she's had some exercise. A visit from our own Ann confirmed this sentiment: "She’s a lovely dog." Nala arrived at UPAWS due to a shift in her owner's work situation, which left him unable to give her the love and time she deserves. She’s looking for a family ready to share walks, play, and all those little moments that make life special. Though young, Nala is full of energy and has some puppy manners to polish. She can pull on the leash and might get a bit mouthy when excited. With regular exercise and positive training, she’ll learn the ropes and deepen her connection with her new family. Nala is eager to befriend other dogs, though she needs slow introductions. She lived with a senior dog and can be a bit too enthusiastic about playtime, so a tolerant canine companion is ideal. She has experience with children but can be a bit overwhelming for the littlest ones, so bring your kids for a meet-and-greet. We don't have any information about her experience with cats.
