About Tucker
Tucker is an incredible boy who radiates loyalty, affection, and a playful spirit. This 1.5-year-old Basenji mix tips the scales at about 70 pounds, embodying the essence of a gentle giant. He has a curious and independent streak that makes him love exploring, making Tucker the perfect companion for long walks and adventures through the great outdoors. Tucker thrives best in the hands of an experienced and committed owner who can provide him with the structure, consistency, and daily exercise he needs. He prefers to be the center of attention and would be happiest in a home without other pets and without young children, ideally in a household with kids over 10 years old. His high energy levels and playful nature require a caregiver who understands his needs. Still working on his house training, Tucker’s new family should be patient and dedicated to help him achieve his training goals. Rescued from the woods of Fouke, Arkansas, where he was found abandoned alongside his parents, Tucker has shown remarkable resilience as the sole survivor of his litter. Now fostered in Texas, he is eager to leave his past behind and settle into a loving forever home. If you’re the experienced dog handler who can offer Tucker the guidance and love he craves, he promises a lifetime of devotion and joy. Are you the one he’s been waiting for?
