Meet Alan, a charming 70-pound Lab/Pittie/Working dog mix looking for a loyal companion to join him outdoors. At about 3 years old, he thrives when given a job, making him an ideal partner for those with a farm, acreage, or a large yard. Alan enjoys being outside and will happily follow you around as you go about your day. Alan recently showcased his wonderful temperament at a public adoption event, handling the crowd with ease and meeting other dogs without issue. He is leash and crate trained, and while he’s fully house-trained, a moment of excitement may lead to a small accident if he hasn’t been out for a while. This gentle soul is great with dogs of all sizes and even senior cats. Though he's confident, Alan has a slight limp from a past ACL injury, which makes him a bit cautious around new people. He prefers low and slow introductions but quickly warms up with treats and some gentle ear scratches. He’s also fantastic with children of all ages and behaves well with a muzzle.
