About Monica

Monica is ready for a fresh start after spending too long confined in a kennel. She and her pal Alvin have faced significant challenges, including being heartworm positive, but they have made impressive strides since entering the rescue. Monica is beginning to explore the world outside her previous confines, discovering that not all situations are scary and that kindness exists in people. Even though she enjoys gentle walks and is learning to relax, Monica needs a calm and patient home where she can continue to grow at her own pace. This little black Rat Terrier is in need of a loving environment that appreciates the small victories – like her first confident walk or cozy nap. She deserves to know what it feels like to be truly safe and cherished. If you can offer her that kind of home, you'll not only change her life but also share in some amazing moments of joy.
