About Guppy
Meet Guppy! Some dogs come into rescue and make you wonder how they ever survived without someone looking out for them. Guppy is one of those dogs. He’s around 5½ years old and has just the right medium-sized build. Until recently, he lived outdoors, having been rescued from a harsh situation where he faced uncertain futures in an overcrowded facility. Before Guppy was taken in, he had a challenging start. After losing the only home he knew due to a fire, he found himself in an outdoor kennel where hope dwindled. Yet, through it all, Guppy has remained a gentle, loving soul, proving his resilient spirit. Guppy is hard of hearing, possibly due to his past, but he responds to certain sounds, especially high pitches. His family will need to be mindful of this and should use visual cues to get his attention. He has heartworm but is nearing the end of his treatment. His laid-back personality shines through; he’s incredibly tolerant and sweet, getting along well with dogs, cats, and kids alike. Guppy doesn't need an action-packed lifestyle; he thrives on the simple pleasures of life, enjoying his time lounging outside and relaxing with his people. This dog has endured much and deserves a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. Guppy is ready for a family that can see beyond his past and appreciate the gentle soul he is. If you’re looking for a medium-sized companion who enjoys the simple things in life, Guppy might just be your perfect match. Take the next step and complete an adoption application for this very special boy.
