About Toka
Toka is a 1-year-old black and tan smooth standard female dachshund. She was brought to our rescue when her previous owners found themselves unable to care for her alongside a new baby. Energetic and curious, Toka needs supervision to prevent her from chewing on furniture and clothes, but she can easily be redirected to suitable toys. Understanding the nature of dachshunds is vital; they can take extra time and patience to housetrain, so it's important to be prepared for that commitment. Toka is looking for an attentive and loving forever home. She's currently not altered or vaccinated, but these steps will be taken before her adoption. If you think you can provide Toka with the love and care she deserves, please reach out to the Dallas-Fort Worth Dachshund Rescue Foundation for the adoption application process. This process does involve background checks, and potential adopters will have to provide a secure environment for Toka, as well as a commitment to her future well-being. Are you ready to welcome this lovable dachshund into your family? If so, let us know!
