About Pooh Bear
Pooh Bear is an incredibly happy and cuddly pup looking for his forever home. Currently in a loving foster home with his sister Roo, he thrives in an environment buzzing with activity, as he gets along with dogs, kids aged 10 and 14, and even a cat. Pooh is expected to grow into a handsome boy weighing around 50–60 lbs. Playtime is his forte, whether he's chasing toys with his sister or romping around with the resident Chihuahua. But when it's time to relax, you can find him curled up in your lap. Pooh is affectionate and eager to learn; he’s already mastered commands like sit, touch, and “eyes on me.” After coming from an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky, he’s learning that mealtime can be worry-free. While he's tolerant of people touching his food, he prefers to keep his meals safe from his sister. His future family should continue building his confidence around food. He sleeps in a playpen with Roo but would definitely prefer snuggling up with a human. Right now, he's making strides in his potty training, and as a puppy, he's still figuring out what’s a toy versus furniture. Pooh Bear would thrive in a home dedicated to his continued training and growth. With his loving nature and readiness to learn, he’ll grow into a wonderful adult dog. The adoption fee of $550 covers spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, heartworm treatment, and all necessary medical care. Starfish Animal Rescue conducts home visits as part of the adoption process, and they can only adopt to families in Chicago and surrounding suburbs. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
