About Dagger

Dagger is a vibrant 9-month-old spayed female Retriever/Pit Bull mix, currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She weighs between 45-50 pounds and is expected to grow into a larger dog. This affectionate girl has a striking appearance with black and white coloring, highlighted by a unique dagger-shaped marking on her neck. Rescued along with her litter during a harsh winter, Dagger has blossomed under loving care and is now a playful yet affectionate companion. Dagger is house trained and has a playful spirit that will delight any adopter. Despite her mischievous side—watch out for her escape artist skills—she’s also a cuddle bug who loves to curl up in your lap and offer sweet nibbles of affection. Dagger is social, enjoying the company of other dogs and doing well with children. Though she hasn’t been tested with cats, her friendly personality suggests she would likely adapt well. This smart little lady is still learning about life and needs a family ready to guide her through positive reinforcement and continued socialization. Homes with another well-mannered dog are preferred, but foster families without one should present a solid socialization plan. Dagger needs regular human interaction and should not be left alone for long periods—she thrives on companionship and playful engagement. Investing in Dagger means welcoming an energetic friend who promises laughter, love, and many adventures. If you're ready to provide a nurturing environment for this charming young pup, she will certainly reward you with her unwavering loyalty and a lifetime of joy.
