Anabelle is a playful and affectionate one-year-old spayed female Pit Bull mix weighing 33 pounds. Rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Texas, she's come a long way and is now living in a foster home in Burien, WA, where she’s shining brightly. Anabelle has a wonderful mix of curiosity and sweetness, and while she may be a bit shy when first meeting new people, she quickly lets her vibrant personality show—especially when toys are involved. Plush and squeaky toys are her favorites! Once she feels comfortable, she loves to lean in for pets and rest her head in your lap. She enjoys being around other dogs, particularly larger ones, and plays nicely with smaller dogs too. Anabelle has a moderate energy level; she loves running in the yard but can also relax after a play session. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, she sleeps quietly in her crate at night and is well-adjusted while her foster family is out. She’s learning to walk on a leash and rides calmly in cars. Being an enthusiastic and playful girl, Anabelle would thrive best in a home with older children or active adults who enjoy walks and playtime. While she enjoys canine companionship, she can also be happy solo. Anabelle's journey has been one of resilience and hope.
