About Opal Light
Meet Opal Light! This spirited, 7-month-old Border Collie/Husky mix has already faced challenges that most dogs never encounter. Rescued by Animal Control after being found on the side of the road, Opal suffered a spinal fracture from being hit by a car. Her initial prognosis worsened when she developed double pneumonia in the shelter, putting her on the brink of euthanasia. Thankfully, Herding Haven intervened, providing her a chance at life. With love from her foster mom, Opal battled back from pneumonia and learned to navigate the world in a wheelchair. Now, she zooms around joyfully, chasing balls and frisbees like the playful pup she is. Despite her past, Opal has a sweet, social, and gentle demeanor. She thrives around other dogs, adores cats, and is great with children, making her a wonderful addition to any family. Opal is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready for her forever home. This resilient little survivor is eager to share her love, laughter, and perhaps even a Taylor Swift song or two. If you're interested in meeting Opal, please reach out to kathie@herdinghaven.org.
