Max is a small, male Chihuahua who is a senior dog. His short coat is a lovely white and cream color. He is house trained and has been neutered. Max is vaccinated and has special needs due to blindness. He currently weighs 20 pounds and is ready to find a loving home in Irmo, SC.

About Max

Max is a sweetheart who certainly didn't deserve to be abandoned in a high-kill shelter after spending 11 years with his previous owner. He came in flea-infested and, sadly, blind. Imagine the fear he faced as he was left behind, unsure of his new surroundings. Fortunately, Max adapts quickly thanks to his keen sense of smell. This affectionate dog loves being petted and would happily spend all day next to you, soaking up attention. Max gets along well with both dogs and cats, though he likely prefers calmer companions since he relies on his other senses. Currently, he's a bit chubby at 20 pounds and has been advised by his vet to reach a healthy weight of 11-12 pounds. He's neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, just waiting for a loving home to appreciate the value of a blind senior dog deserving all the affection in the world.
