About Pinto
Pinto only weighs about 6 pounds, but she moves faster than any dog her size has a right to. Sheās likely a Chihuahua and Dachshund mix, but the way her skinny legs go flying during zoomies, youād swear thereās some baby deer DNA mixed in. One moment Pinto is quietly resting, and the next sheās launching herself, parkour-style, across your furniture. She wonāt be shy foreverāshe needs a little time to get comfortable with new people, but if you have another small dog around, it helps her settle in and feel braver. Once she trusts you, Pinto is equal parts comedy act and loyal sidekick. Sheās obsessed with playing, bouncing, and showing off her agility, though with legs this tiny, youāll have to keep an eye out so she doesnāt pull any stunts that put her at risk. Because of her small frame, Pinto would be happiest living with kids aged 10 and up who realize sheās not built for roughhousing. Pinto is basically a living squeaky toy with noodle legs: endlessly entertaining and full of personality, just waiting for the right person to appreciate her style. Questions about Pinto
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pinto, being a Chihuahua and Miniature Dachshund mix, is best suited for an indoor home where she has plenty of comfort and security. An environment without rough handling or large, rowdy pets is ideal, especially considering her tiny size.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A lot of outdoor space isn't necessary for Pinto. A secure yard for brief play or regular walks will meet her exercise needs, thanks to her small size and energy level.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Pinto would do well in homes with older children, preferably ages 10 and up, who understand how delicate and small she is. She's not suited to homes with very young children who may play too rough.
