About Winnie

Meet Winnie! This adorable Yorkie mix is around 2 years old and weighs about 11 lbs. A total velcro dog, she loves to follow her foster everywhere, thriving on belly rubs, cuddles, and quality lap time. Winnie joined us from BARC Animal Shelter, where she arrived as a scared stray in need of care. After some grooming and a few weeks in a loving foster home, she's transformed into a joyful and affectionate companion. Winnie is great with people and has a friendly demeanor, including with children. She enjoys family gatherings, car rides, and stays close on walks while ignoring neighborhood cats. Though she's fast and curious, she needs an active adopter who can keep up with her energy. Fetch is one of her favorite games, and she's still mastering the toy return. Winnie is food-motivated, which helps with her training. She's currently working on potty training and does best with breaks every 60 to 90 minutes. While Winnie was friendly with dogs at the shelter, her interactions in foster care are still being monitored.
