About Kallen

Meet Kallen! This little guy is a bundle of fun and loves everyone he meets. Kallen’s personality shines through with his friendly, outgoing nature. He’s perfect for someone who enjoys outings and adventures, but he’s just as happy being your best companion at home. Kallen is a male, approximately 4 years old, and weighs around 13.7 pounds. He’s a Chihuahua mix but doesn’t fully embody the typical Chi traits. Neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, he’s ready for adoption. Found as a stray, Kallen has been joyful and appreciative since coming into foster care. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and ages but can be a little pushy with those who don’t stand up for themselves. Luckily, his upcoming neuter should help with this behavior. While he hasn’t met any cats yet, Kallen has interacted with kids and done well, although supervision is advised since he jumps up when excited. He’s great in the car, walks well on a leash with some excitement, and is crate trained. Kallen marks his territory indoors occasionally, another habit hoped to be improved after his neuter. With a medium energy level, he loves to run around but also knows how to chill out, especially after some playtime. He takes treats gently and has shown no signs of aggression towards food or toys. Kallen is friendly with strangers and has a zest for life. If you’re searching for a loving and happy smaller dog, Kallen might be the perfect fit! He’s located in Yorktown, VA, and needs to be adopted within a 1-hour driving radius. Vet and home checks are required. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
