Meet Hatfield! This tiny sweetheart is about 1 year old and looks like a charming mix of Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier. After being left at the shelter, he was understandably shy and scared, but a loving foster home has helped him find his footing. Hatfield weighs 9 pounds and is already neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He’s heartworm negative and has a short, soft coat that adds to his overall cuteness. He takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he’s a loyal friend. He quickly bonded with a 12-year-old boy in his foster home, showing just how attached he can get. This little guy is still learning the ropes, especially when it comes to leash training, but he’s making progress. He enjoys car rides and is getting the hang of potty training, though he might have the occasional accident. He gets along well with other dogs, although he might feel a bit intimidated at first. Cats are a possibility, as he did live with them before. Hatfield is very fond of kids, too, so long as they understand to be gentle and give him some space initially. Though he’s currently laid-back, Hatfield is gradually becoming more playful, showing enthusiasm when chasing a thrown ball. He loves to cuddle and shower you with kisses, and he behaves well when left alone at home. This sweet boy is looking for a forever family that can give him time to adjust and make him feel safe.
