These sweet boys have been through quite a bit and rely on each other for comfort and security, which is why they must be adopted together. Chip and Patch arrived at Suffolk Humane Society after their owner was hospitalized. They came to us needing extensive grooming to address severe matting that resulted from a lack of regular care. With our support, they have been fully vetted and are now on the mend. Though their fur will grow back, regular grooming will be essential for their long-term health and comfort. Adjusting to life outside their previous circumstances is a work in progress for both. They can be cautious and reserved, particularly towards unfamiliar faces or situations. However, as they settle into their new life, their individual personalities will start to shine. Their bond is especially crucial as they navigate these changes; it offers them reassurance and confidence. Currently, Chip and Patch are working on potty training and require adopters who can provide the patience and consistency this process demands. They are learning and need a predictable routine along with individual attention. Ideal adopters will be compassionate families willing to invest the time and love necessary to earn their trust. A securely fenced yard is required due to their quick movements when startled, and while they have a wonderful demeanor, children under 10 might not be the best fit. These two boys have the chance to start fresh in a home where they can feel safe and loved.
