Residing in Princeton, MN, he's ready to find a loving home. His gentle nature makes him a fitting companion for those who enjoy relaxed living. Rascal may be adapting to new surroundings, but he carries the sweet charm of a loyal lap dog.

About Rascal Arriving D

Rascal is a charming Chihuahua-Dachshund mix who found himself in a tough situation at the SPCA, at risk of euthanasia due to dental issues. Thankfully, his foster from Ruff Start Rescue stepped in, giving him a second chance. Now, this adorable pup is preparing to arrive in Minnesota for a bright new beginning. Rascal embodies the true lap dog spirit. He loves to snuggle up and will quickly find his way to you if you're sitting down. Adjusting to home life is new for him, but he's been mastering the doggy door and is improving with housetraining. Rascal may whimper a bit in his kennel, but that's just his way of expressing his desire to be close to you. Although Rascal hasn't met kids or cats yet, we believe he’ll warm up to them given some time. He’s learned some basic commands already. While his preference is to be your cuddle buddy, he occasionally enjoys a game of chase with other dogs. This sweet boy thrives on companionship and would do best with someone who can give him plenty of attention — ideally a retired person or someone working from home. If you have room in your heart and home for some sweet cuddles, consider meeting Rascal! *As a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program, we offer discounted fees for senior adopters.* Rascal arrives from Texas on 10/10/2026 and must be picked up at Ruff Start Rescue in Princeton, MN, between 8:30-11 a.m. Out of respect for his needs and schedule, we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this timeframe. Since he hasn’t arrived yet, he’s available through our Foster to Adopt Program until then. Come see if you are the right match for this loving dog!
