Meet Maxwell, a tiny Chihuahua mix with an enormous capacity for love. Maxwell, or Max for short, is a lively 12-week-old pup already showing off his adorable personality. His mother is a wirehaired Chihuahua mix and his father is a longhaired Chihuahua mix. Currently, he weighs just a few pounds and will likely stay small, projected to be around 12 to 15 pounds as an adult. Max is playful and affectionate, thriving on human companionship. He has all the puppy energy and charm you could want, along with a knack for finding the biggest stick or tossing around his stuffed toys in a fit of delight. Once he’s done exploring, he’s more than happy to curl up in your lap for a cozy nap. Maxwell enjoys the company of other dogs and has interacted well with them. He’s also comfortable around children and will benefit from some puppy guidance as he learns the ropes. He sleeps soundly in his crate and has been making good progress with crate training, though his new family will need to continue helping him with potty training. While he gets along well with small dogs, Maxwell hasn’t met any cats yet, so any introductions should be gradual. Ideally, a home with older, respectful children would be the best fit for him.
