Malarky is quite the character. With his tiny legs supporting a 20-pound Pug body, he looks like he's always on the verge of waddling off in search of a snack. Snacks are a serious business for him, and he expects them frequently. At around 4 years old, Malarky was rescued as a stray, having spent some time on his own. When he arrived, he was covered in fleas and had patches of missing fur. Fortunately, the fleas have been evicted, and his skin is healing nicely as his fur fills back in. He might not trust everyone immediately and tends to observe newcomers carefully. However, a treat in hand transforms him into a more social pup. Once he warms up, his sweet and affectionate side shines through. Malarky enjoys the company of other dogs and doesn’t need to be the center of attention. A little activity, followed by lounging on the couch, is his ideal day. His personality unfolds gradually; you’ll first meet the cautious little guy, then the treat enthusiast, and finally the goofy companion.
