About Frankie
Meet Frankie, a gentle soul with a big heart, ready for his second chance. This 2.5-year-old, 70-pound neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier mix is in a foster home in Austin, Texas, and can be transported out of state to an approved adopter. Frankie's journey started under tough circumstances; he and his sister were left behind, tied up in an elderly man's yard. With patience and care, Frankie is learning that kindness exists. Although he comes off as shy at first, his sweet and affectionate side shines once he feels secure. Living with four other large dogs, Frankie is gradually building his confidence. He enjoys playful activities like tug-of-war and has recently discovered the joy of toys. While he prefers to observe from a distance initially, he shows no aggression and chooses retreat over confrontation when unsure. Frankie has a calm demeanor and would thrive in a home with older kids who respect his boundaries. He is house trained and does well on his own but would benefit from a securely fenced yard. He travels well in the car yet can feel nervous around new thresholds. With continued love and patience, Frankie will become a loyal and affectionate companion. If you’re ready to help Frankie blossom from forgotten to forever, he could be the perfect match for your home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
