About Dagger

Dagger is a spirited 9-month-old spayed female Retriever/Pit Bull mix currently located in Texas. She weighs about 45-50 pounds and is expected to grow into a large dog, following in her mother Wanda's footsteps. Rescued from a rural area where she was born during a harsh Texas freeze, Dagger embodies bravery and warmth, evident in her playful demeanor and affectionate nature. With her striking black and white coat, Dagger is the perfect blend of athleticism and cuddle bug. She's known for her adventurous spirit, often testing the limits of her environment, but she also cherishes quiet moments curled in a lap, offering sweet love nibbles that melt hearts. Dagger gets along well with other dogs and has shown herself to be friendly around children. Though she hasn’t been tested with cats, her kind social approach suggests she would fit in well with a variety of family dynamics. It's important for Dagger to continue receiving guidance as she grows. Ideally, she'd thrive in a home that has another friendly dog to show her the ropes, or one that can provide structured socialization opportunities. Regular human attention is crucial, as she’s still in her formative stages and can’t be left alone for long stretches.
