Meet Juanita! This vibrant 1.5-year-old, 15-pound Pug arrived at the shelter in rough condition, emaciated and losing fur from severe flea allergies. She was also battling roundworms and Giardia. It was clear she hadn’t received the basic care she needed for a long time. Once we learned about her plight, we couldn’t leave her behind. Now, Juanita is thriving at Pug Nation, putting on weight, regrowing her fur, and recovering from her health issues. Her favorite way to celebrate? Running around like a tiny whirlwind! Juanita is full of energy, playful, and curious, eager to join in on all the fun. She enjoys playing with her dog friends and adores people. Food? That’s her ultimate motivator. Juanita is extremely food-driven, making treats the quickest way to gain her attention. We can see her becoming an enthusiastic student, ready to learn new tricks. What truly stands out about Juanita is her unwavering joy despite her past hardships. She’s all about living in the moment—playing, eating, and making new friends.
