Lumi is a delightful 4 lb, 6-month-old Chihuahua/Maltese mix with a vibrant personality. Rescued as a stray in Texas, she had a rough start but has blossomed into a sweet and loving puppy. Lumi adores being near her people, often cuddling close and showering them with kisses. She happily sleeps in a dog bed nearby while her foster works from home, showing a lovely balance of independence and affection. This little one gets along well with both small and larger dogs, making her a great companion for calm, gentle pets. While she may initially show some nervousness in new situations, she quickly adapts and enjoys the company of people, including kids. Lumi's ideal home would be one where someone is around most of the day, helping her manage her mild separation anxiety. She’s progressing with her potty training, but there are still a few accidents. Like any puppy, she needs supervision and puppy-proofing. Lumi travels well in the car and is learning to ride in a dog car seat. With some practice, she will also master leash walking. Overall, she’s a playful and affectionate companion who loves to explore and feel safe with her person. Adopters should be prepared for the challenges and joys of a young puppy, especially the continued socialization and love that Lumi craves. Lumi is waiting for her forever home in Mead, Colorado.
