About Leroy

Leroy is on the lookout for his forever home once again. He was adopted just under a month ago, but sadly returned because his energy didn’t align with his elderly dad during walks. His previous family loved him dearly, and Leroy became a cherished part of their home, even sleeping with them every night. This loving boy is crate trained, fully housebroken, and has a unique habit of nibbling on you to check for any fleas—it's just his way of caring. When Leroy met another dog at the shelter, his tail wagged with excitement as they exchanged sniffs, showcasing his lively and playful spirit. We don’t know how he interacts with cats since we haven’t had a chance to test that yet. It’s important to ensure he’s a good match for your family, so meet and greets with dogs and kids are encouraged before adopting. Please only adopt if you can commit to being his forever family. Adoption is done on a first come, first served basis at our in-person center located at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville, NC. We’re open Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 5 PM, and Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. Leroy may be adopted for the standard fee of $80, which includes being neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines.
