Meet Chance! Sometimes rescue stories unfold just at the right moment, and that’s exactly the case for him. Alerted to a little Shih Tzu at risk of being abandoned, we stepped in to help, and he became part of Destination Rescue. Chance is a delightful companion, weighing in at 10 pounds and bursting with personality. He’s wonderfully friendly, getting along with people, dogs, and even cats. Children of all ages are no problem for him either. Sporting an adorable underbite and expressive eyes, he may be a mixed breed, but don’t let his size fool you—he has a playful spirit and runs like the wind. This little guy thrives on companionship and quickly becomes attached to his humans. You’ll often find him following you around and settling in for some much-needed couch time. He loves walks and car rides, so a family that will include him in everyday adventures would be ideal. Fully potty trained and non-destructive, Chance is respectful of his toys and doesn’t chew on anything else. While he has strong opinions about being kenneled, a family that will provide the companionship and freedom he seeks should find this manageable. At the end of the day, Chance is looking for what every dog deserves: love and a forever home where he can truly belong. He’s currently in Houston, Texas, and ready to travel to his new family.
