Meet Gilly! Gilly is a spirited one-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier in Long Beach, CA. This handsome boy is a mix of goofy charm and gentle sensitivity, with a striking tan-and-white coat that's hard to resist. At 62 pounds, Gilly is a big puppy at heart. He loves being close to his people and enjoys everything from playing with toys to hopping in the car for adventures or even having a spa day. He brightens everyday moments and even looks forward to grooming sessions. Gilly is playful and friendly with newcomers. He's eager to please and knows commands like sit, stay, and crate. He can relax in his crate for short periods and thrives with a consistent routine. With continued positive reinforcement training from a patient pet parent, he is likely to excel. He is food-motivated and learning to feel secure around meals while sharing. However, he can be sensitive to loud sounds, like fireworks and garbage trucks, so calm guidance can help him build confidence during noisy times. Gilly needs to be the only dog in his new home, as he is reactive toward other dogs. His experience with cats and children is limited, so compatibility is currently unknown. A fenced yard would be ideal, along with a family that understands or is willing to learn more about his breed. This lad is neutered, microchipped, house-trained, and up to date on vaccinations.
