About Diablo
Meet Diablo! Diablo has spent over a year waiting for someone to see past his name and into his heart. He was left at a sanctuary in South Carolina by a couple who claimed he was just a stray, though the truth about his past may remain a mystery. Initially, he was difficult and a bit intimidating, leaving many unsure of how to approach him. However, Diablo has transformed significantly. This approximately 3-year-old Malamute mix has become a loving and playful companion who knows some commands and truly enjoys the company of other dogs, but he seems to prefer people most of all. With his high-pitched Chewbacca impersonation, he's incredibly vocal and sure to bring laughter wherever he goes. Currently heartworm positive, Diablo is undergoing the slow kill treatment method. He is house-trained, having mastered the doggie door, and has recently graduated from his slow-feed bowl, a testament to his patience and growth. Given his size and personality, he would thrive best in a home without small children, ensuring mealtime safety for everyone involved. After more than a year of waiting, being misunderstood, and gradually learning to trust again, Diablo is finally ready for the one thing he's never had: a family of his very own.
