About Blaze
Blaze carries the kind of hope most wouldn't expect after all he's endured. Picked up as a stray in Texas and left with nothing, he found himself lost in a crowded shelter, just another number among too many. But Blaze never lost his softness or trust. He's an Alaskan Malamute, about two years old, with a thick silver coat and a much bigger heart. At 72 pounds, he's not just imposingāhe's dignified, resilient, and obviously longing for a family who won't abandon him again. Blaze is neutered and current on all vaccinations. Like many southern rescues, he tested positive for heartworm but is already receiving treatment and is well on his way back to full health. He's new to house training and will need patience as he adapts to a real home. Blaze gets along well with other dogs. What he truly wants is a second chance at belongingāa soft spot to land and someone who sees him for the dog he is, not the one he used to be. They say he just wants commitment, consistency, and the promise he'll never be forgotten. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
