About Diablo
Meet Diablo! Diablo has spent over a year waiting for someone to see beyond his name and into his heart. This approximately 3-year-old Malamute mix was left at a sanctuary by a couple who claimed he was just a stray, but the truth of his past might never be fully known. Initially, he was a bit difficult and, admittedly, a little intimidating. However, Diablo has made incredible progress. Now, he’s a loving, playful boy who knows some commands and genuinely enjoys being around other dogs, though he really prefers human companionship. His vocalizations include a hilarious high-pitched Chewbacca impersonation that never fails to elicit laughter. Diablo is currently heartworm positive and undergoing the slow kill treatment method. He’s house-trained to a doggie door and has recently graduated from using a slow-feed bowl, showcasing his growing trust and patience. With his large frame and even larger personality, he would do best in a home without small children to ensure a safe mealtime environment. After patiently waiting for over a year and slowly learning to trust again, Diablo is ready for the one thing he’s never had: a family of his very own.
