About Gina

Meet Gina. Gina is a spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, around 1 year old and weighing 56 lbs. She’s currently in a foster home in Houston, TX, but can be transported to her forever home once an approved adopter is found. Gina had a rough start; she was found as a tiny puppy, dumped on the street, curled up in a cardboard box next to a busy road. Thankfully, her foster has helped her blossom and now she is ready to find a loving family. Gina is playful and enjoys the company of smaller dogs her size and even larger ones. While she loves engaging in fun activities, like tug of war, she can be a bit cautious around unfamiliar big dogs due to past experiences. It’s best for her to have slow introductions to new canine friends. As for cats, Gina is quite intrigued by them and would do best in a household without these furry critters. Even though she hasn't been around children in her current foster home, Gina would likely thrive in a lively setting. She can be a bit jumpy when excited, so older kids who understand dog behavior—around 10 years and up—are recommended. An active home that can keep her engaged and happy is ideal. Gina has a passion for toys and loves to collect them in her bed. She’s house trained and crate trained, happily staying in her crate for up to 8 hours. Walking well on a leash, she doesn't display signs of separation anxiety. However, she does prefer to have her treats enjoyed in peace and will require guidance on appropriate chewing items. This beautiful girl is ready to fill her new home with love and playful energy. If you’re the right family for Gina, she will surely be a wonderful addition to your life. What are you waiting for?
