Katy is a lively 3-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing around 10 pounds. She can be a bit selective with her dog friends and is best with slow introductions. Katy is great with older kids and is housebroken when kept on a consistent schedule, along with being pee pad and crate trained. She thrives in a secure, fenced yard and enjoys playing with toys and energetic dogs. Katy loves to cuddle with her people after having a blast racing around with her canine pals. However, she may overwhelm laid-back dogs with her playful spirit. She enjoys neighborhood walks but will bark at passersby, including other dogs and small critters. Her foster home requires someone who is home often and has another young, playful dog. Consistency, leadership, and structure are crucial for her. If your setup doesn't meet these requirements, please hold off on applying. Katy will need two weeks to settle in and build trust with her new family, so no visitors during that time is recommended. Katy is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If your home meets her needs and you'd like to adopt, please apply through the rescue.
