Ponyo’s a 4yo 6lb Yorkie mix. She’s dog and kid 12+ friendly. She needs continued work on housebreaking, uses a pee pad and is crate trained. She’s good with a secure fenced in yard and/or going for short harness leashed walks. She likes another dog or her person in the yard with her. She needs time to adjust to new people and environments but once she gets to know her people she can be cuddly and affectionate. She’s feisty, playful, likes to play with toys. Other dogs and cuddle on her person’s lap. Sudden loud noises can make her nervous. She likes to play fetch and tug of war with her people. Ponyo’s foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time and/or another dog for companionship, patience to allow her time to adjust to new people and environments, be allowed on furniture to cuddle, people who will play with her along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Ponyo as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Ponyo’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped.
