About Daffodil
Daffodil is an eight-year-old hound who certainly doesn’t act her age. Take her out for a walk, and she’s the one setting the pace, ready for adventure. She sports a striking tricolor coat, with a mix of black over her back and sides, a white chest, and a tan face. Spayed and up to date on vaccinations, Daffodil came to Petersburg Animal Care and Control as a stray. We’ve learned about her past, and it’s clear she has loved living with children and other dogs. Initially a bit aloof, she quickly warms up, seeking companionship. Walks are her favorite pastime, and age hasn't slowed her down. Honesty is key when discussing her needs: Daffodil is an escape artist. She’s managed to get out of every enclosure we’ve provided, so she requires secure fencing. Also, keep your counters clear; she’s experienced at reaching anything that catches her eye. While she hasn't been around cats, her history makes her a delightful candidate for a loving home. To meet Daffodil, we encourage scheduling an appointment. Our shelter is open Monday through Friday, from 12pm to 4pm, with potential availability outside those hours.
