About Cookie

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Cookie and his three siblings were rescued after being found on a rural road in Lee County, VA. Originally at risk due to an overcrowded shelter, they were saved thanks to the dedication of their finder and this rescue. Although this rescue primarily helps pit bulls, they quickly fell in love with these delightful hound puppies — and Cookie stands out as a true sweetheart. Cookie is fantastic in his crate, settling in quietly without fuss. He adores playtime with both young and senior dogs in his foster home, and even shows calm curiosity around secure chickens. This charming pup is both a cuddle bug and a fun playmate, happy to snuggle beside you or romp when the mood strikes. Cookie isn’t overly vocal, except for the occasional protest if left on the bed alone! He’s making progress on leash walks and has started letting his fosters know when he needs a potty break, having very few accidents. Cookie is an affectionate, easy-going gem ready for a wonderful home. He comes with age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, a microchip, and will be neutered. Born under the sun sign Taurus, Cookie might be especially loving and loyal. Start your journey together! Apply now.
