About Gomez

Meet Gomez, a 13-year-old Pomeranian weighing 19 pounds. This sweet dog is in search of a loving forever home. Gomez was adopted from Needy Paws as a 5-year-old but sadly found himself abandoned eight years later, roaming alone in a field in Jefferson County. He was rescued and brought back to safety, but his original owner did not reclaim him. Despite the challenges, Gomez remains a delightful companion. He's had to cope with a lot; he lost most of his beautiful fluffy coat due to grooming needs, but it’s growing back now. While he has lost his hearing likely due to age and has suffered dental issues from neglect, he still enjoys his meals with a few remaining teeth. He has some arthritis, indicative of his age, and occasionally experiences a slight cough from a softened trachea, but overall, he’s in good spirits and healthy. Gomez thrives in a calm environment with few stairs and requires a home where someone is around most of the time. He gets along well with other small dogs and cats in his foster home and must have access to a fenced yard for his safety. Potty trained, he will signal when it’s time to go outside, and he loves exploring the yard, though his favorite pastime is napping in his cozy dog bed. This little man is extremely sweet and deserves a forever home that appreciates his warm nature. His foster believes the perfect match is out there.
