About Chaz
Meet Chaz, a 2-year-old German Shepherd with a lot of personality looking for a loving foster or adoptive home. Found as a stray in Georgia, he was once malnourished but has made great strides and is now a healthy 53 pounds. Chaz thrives on companionship and is eager to please, displaying intelligence and a willingness to learn; he already knows commands like sit, shake, down, and “platz.” Chaz enjoys the company of female dogs but hasn’t been introduced to males yet, and due to some prey drive, a home without cats is recommended. He loves to play fetch and is quite good at it! While he’s getting better on a leash, he does tend to be protective of his humans, barking at strangers who approach but quickly calming down with guidance. Chaz has not been house trained yet, so his new family will need to help him adjust to indoor living. His adaptability and eagerness to learn make him a wonderful candidate for someone who can provide structure and training.
