About Copper
Copper came into the rescue as a young dog and has been cared for daily by a certified dog trainer. He is a blend of several breedsāmost notably American Pitbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Bulldog, and Boxerāgiving him a truly unique personality and look. Copper enjoys interacting and playing with well-matched, properly introduced dogs. He takes treats gently and eats slowly, typically finishing his meals. He knows a wide range of basic commands like sit, down, come, touch, and stay. This dog needs a home with a securely fenced yardāat least six feetāthanks to his impressive jumping skills. Copper is crate trained overnight and keeps to a predictable daily routine that includes playtime, enrichment activities, and lots of mental stimulation. Although he's full of joy and energy, he does best with kids 11 and older. He hasnāt spent time with cats, so heās best suited for a cat-free home. Copper is only available for adoption in Wisconsin.
