About Alex Ii

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Alex Ii, a resilient and playful pup currently fostered near Peshtigo, WI. After suffering a car accident in Texas, Alex lost a leg but has fully healed and tackled every challenge with an upbeat spirit. At about 11 months old and likely part Heeler, he greets every day with enthusiasm and a big heart for play. Alex thrives with other dogs—he needs a canine playmate—and gets along wonderfully with both cats and dogs in his foster home. If he’s not romping with his foster sisters, you’ll find him by his foster mom’s side, seeking comfort and companionship. Alex is working on his separation anxiety, especially when he can’t see his person nearby. While he enjoys treats and toys in his crate, he’d most love a home where he’s rarely alone. He delights in rolling in the grass, eating, chewing toys, and discovering that the world is a safe place. Bonus fact: with a mid-August birthday, Alex is a proud Leo—known for his courage, loyalty, and playful nature. Your new best friend is just one click away.
