Happy is house trained, spayed, and her vaccinations are up to date. Living in Plainfield, IL, she brings joy and affection to everyone around her. Happy is a delightful 1.5-year-old pocket pittie mix with a charming personality. Weighing in at about 35 pounds, she embodies her name perfectly by being a friendly, loyal companion. Happy's social nature shines through her enthusiastic greetings, characterized by her full-body wiggles for everyone she meets—adults, seniors, and kids alike! It’s best that her home includes children aged 8 and up, as they need to understand that she might startle when asleep due to her deafness. This sweet girl is both potty trained and crate trained. Although Happy was born deaf, she impressively knows eight hand commands, including sit, stay, and touch, thanks to her loving foster who is willing to guide new adopters in using these commands effectively. While she might not have the high energy of some dogs, she loves gentle walks and leisurely sniffing around in the yard. For longer outings, she enjoys being carried in a backpack. Happy is looking for a home as the only pet, as she can be a bit misunderstood by other dogs due to her inability to hear social cues. She does have a tendency to be annoying to cats, so it’s best for her to find a home where she can be the star.
