About Rio
Rio is a one-of-a-kind little pup with a fascinating genetic background. His mother, Tami, has a mix of Chihuahua, Dachshund, and various small breeds, while his father carries a range of larger breeds including Staffordshire Terrier and a hint of coyote. This unique heritage makes Rio part of a litter that’s expected to grow into pocket-sized pups weighing between 25 to 40 pounds. Despite being deaf from birth, Rio shines with his bright blue eyes and pale gray coat. He’s incredibly alert, learns quickly, and enjoys interacting through hand signals. Although he’s still mastering the litter box, he has a calm and gentle nature that makes him a delightful companion. Having secure fencing will be essential for his new home. Currently in foster care in Clatskanie, Oregon, Rio is looking for a loving forever home. His adoption fee is currently sponsored, making it the perfect time to bring him into your life. Will you be the one to give him the safe, active home he deserves?
