About Trip

Trip has seen quite a bit of change in his life. This 19-pound Chihuahua mix is 8 years old and was turned into a rural shelter by a family with young children. Now in foster care, he thrives with adults and older kids, and he's friendly with both dogs and cats. His foster mom describes Trip as practically perfect. He’s house trained and adapts well to home life, rides nicely in the car, and understands a variety of obedience commands. Trip enjoys daily walks, although he tends to pull on the leash. An experienced handler can easily manage him with a front-fastening harness. Trip is a bit vocal; he will bark to alert his family of any perceived dangers. He greets adult visitors with enthusiasm but isn't comfortable with toddlers reaching for his head. This behavior is understandable given his past experiences. Currently residing in Clatskanie, Oregon, Trip’s adoption fee is $200. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
